As the Marketing and Events Manager at Noble Kava in Boone, North Carolina, I embarked on a dynamic journey to elevate the profile of this unique cafe, performance venue, and lounge near the Appalachian State University campus. Specializing in holistic herbal drinks, including Kava and Kratom, Noble Kava's distinctive offerings required a robust marketing and social media strategy to educate and captivate an audience. With a focus on fostering a sense of community and emphasizing the 18+ exclusivity of their products, I led the charge in enhancing Noble Kava's brand visibility and engaging local patrons.

Creative Strategy & Execution

  • Leveraged social media platforms to inform and captivate audiences about Kava and Kratom, conducting targeted campaigns around events and giveaways to drive follower growth.

  • Executed a strategic mix of organic and paid social media, utilizing visual storytelling on Instagram with high-quality photography and videography to showcase the unique products and ambiance.

  • Humanized the brand by spotlighting and celebrating the community of patrons, fostering a sense of connection and belonging.

  • Utilized Facebook events to organize and amplify live music and performance events, as well as collaborations with local non-profits for community-focused initiatives such as queer literature and film series, clothing swaps, and fundraisers.

  • Email marketing kept the audience informed and engaged, incentivizing sign-ups with exclusive offers.

Results

  • Successfully doubled Noble Kava's social media followers from 750 to 2,100 in under two years.

  • Tripled social media engagement, indicating increased interest and interaction within the community.
